The witness card
What you're about to open is real. The matter file carries knowledge cards CAIRN
distilled and sealed — every fact survived character-level quote verification against the
record, and the extraction that couldn't produce its quote was dropped, and counted.
The shelf, the counts, and the receipts are live. Refusal in this room is arithmetic —
model-free. When the record holds an answer, a grounding model synthesizes it, and every
sentence carries a [n] citation. It cannot invent a case that isn't in the file.
The inconsistency
The witness testified he inspected the shipment on March 12. His own March 14
email says the crates were still unopened. Ask the question a second chair would ask —
and watch a grounded answer come back from both documents, every sentence cited
[n], attributed, never characterized.
The case that does not exist
